Yep, the footage has been taken using a camera with a distorting wide-angle lens. From a height of 24 miles where this jump took place, the earth's curvature would still only be very minimal, nothing like the appearance of the earth as a 'globe'.

This jump took place from a height of 24 miles, which is still well within the earth's atmosphere. He wasn't 'entering back' at all. Any reference to 'space' in the video title and description is misleading, as space doesn't officially begin until a height of 62 miles.

8 तासांपूर्वी

You don't just float at a certain altitude. You have to achieve and maintain orbital velocity to not fall back to earth. Objects burn up because they hit the atmosphere at tens of thousands of miles per hour.

This jump took place from a height of 24 miles, which is still well within the earth's atmosphere. He wasn't 're-entering' the earth's atmosphere. Any reference to 'space' in the video title and description is misleading, as space doesn't officially begin until a height of 62 miles. The point of the jump, was to attempt to break the previous record for the highest parachute jump.

New evidence has come out that the jump was a HOAX to sell an energy drink Where are the oceans. The U.S. is sandwiched by 2 giant oceans. The view from stratos shows the entire curvature of the earth but no oceans. This seems to be a green screen image. The video below shows the Stratos capsule in front of a green screen. Very suspicious . https://youtu.be/SSyjxEQmqM8 The link below shows how green screens are used to make movies.you can fill the green screen area in with anything you want. https://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=https://lc2702ct1ih1dgpgj15zgyn1-wpengine.netdna-ssl.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/crewcallsupret-1204x630.jpg&imgrefurl=https://infocusfilmschool.com/filming-green-screen-guide/&docid=FOroXq8NOOxqVM&tbnid=viU5vzD6h4Qx5M&vet=1&w=1204&h=630&hl=en-US&source=sh/x/im

@Lee B another problem is where are the stars??? When he is at altitude it is dark out. So you should see millions of stars . I'm just suggesting that it may be fake . why the green screen

4 तासांपूर्वी

Nobody has ever said that you see the entire hemisphere. He's only 24 miles high, that's just his 360° horizon at that altitude. The ultra wide angle lens just fits an unnatural amount of that 360° making it appear overly round. That's basically just New Mexico in the footage

Where are the stars?

23 तासांपूर्वी
Sailor Man
Sailor Man

@A1 D The sky above him looks black, because 90% of the earth's atmosphere is below him, with only 10% above him, which is why the sky has lost its blue colour. What you're still not understanding, is that the footage is being taken in bright daylight, which is why the camera's exposure settings can't take footage that's not over-exposed AND be able to capture the images of faint stars. If you look at any footage taken from the International Space Station, you won't see stars either, for the same reason, that the footage is almost always shot in bright daylight. Here's a link that explains in quite some detail, why the images of stars don't show up in footage such as this. https://www.planetary.org/blogs/emily-lakdawalla/2019/why-are-there-no-stars.html

21 तासापूर्वी
A1 D
A1 D

@Sailor Man don't you see stars from Earth at night time. Our sky is bright blue due to gases present in troposphere but he is beyond this. He is in exosphere so why wouldn't I expect to see stars.

22 तासांपूर्वी
Sailor Man
Sailor Man

Why would you expect to see stars in the footage? The jump took place from an altitude of 24 miles, which is nowhere near space. Also, when shooting footage in bright daylight, the camera's exposure settings wouldn't allow the capture of the faint images of stars.
